There are several different Genres of movies I love to watch. In my opinion; drama, comedy, action, romantic and horror are the most popular widespread. I personally enjoy comedy and suspense the most. I love to watch comical movies because I love to laugh. Suspense is actually a genre within a genre but it makes a great difference in the impact it has on the viewers of the film. Other genres such as horror, sci-fi, action and drama can also be of the suspense genre as well, in those cases: due to the clever conventions used in a suspense filled movie, the results are always successful. Suspense is a creative way to draw a viewer’s attention significantly because the viewer understands that in a suspense movie, every little detail count. Therefore they don’t want to miss a beat of the movie. In most cases suspense can also be known as a mystery. Sometimes the mystery seems so hard to solve or figure out but in the end the outcome appears to have been mockingly obvious. On the other hand, many producers like to give there mystery a dramatic twist that wasn’t expected at all during the climax. That causes for the audience to be shocked but most of the time appeal to them in a more meaningful way. I know from experience that watching a suspenseful movie is quite interesting because it really makes you think hard about what’s gong on in the plot or what could be going on that you don’t directly see. The climax is always when the truth comes out. It’s such a great feeling at that point. That’s the point that a suspense movie makes you long for and I love it!

His Eye is on the Sparrow
"His Eye is on the Sparrow" is a short song that has been sang in African-American churches for several years now, that plays a major role in a christians life because the lyrics are quite uplifting. When I feel discouraged I find myself singing it and I tend to feel alot better after I think about what the lyrics of this song prevail. The song only consists of one verse and a repeating course which have been sang by a many people from your average church lady, to famous singers in a wide variety of their own unique versions. My favorite version was performed by Lauren Hill in the movie "Sister Act". I do not know who wrote the original version of this song but I love it! I will give you my interpretation of the song line by line.
His Eye is on the Sparrow
"Why should I feel discouraged?"
Even though there are plenty of disapointing things going on in my life, I refuse to let them discourage me.
"And why should the shadows come?"
Why would I acknowledge the darkness and sadness that is trying to take over my life?
"Why should my heart feel lonely and long for heaven and home?"
Even though it may seem like I dont have many people in this world to support me, I still dont have to believe I am lonely because I know that my father in heaven is with me. Yet, that doesnt mean I need to leave this earth jus yet to be with him.
"When Jesus is my portion; a constant friend is he..."
Jesus is a very good friend because of all the wonderful things he does for me. That alone is just enough.
"His eye is on the sparrow, and I kno he watches...
I know he watches..... I know he watches me."
He is costantly watching over me no matter what, I know this for sure.
"I sing because Im happy."
My joy causes me to sing out about it.
"I sing because I am free."
Im so greatful for my freedom that I will exercise my freedom of speech and sing about that as well.
"His eye is on the sparrow, and I know he watches over me."
I know he is constantly watching over me.
"He watches over me..."
Im still re assured that he watches over me always.
"I know he watches me."
He has always been watching me and always will be.
The song basically is repeated in the singers own rhythem and mechanics. I dont care how it's sang, the lyrics are what will always touch my heart.

blog 7-wikipedia
On Wikipedia, I looked up my Hometown and current city I reside in; Detroit Michigan. I chose Detroit because it is a city I have a lot of prior knowledge about. The mission was to compare how accurate wikipedia’s information was, based off my prior knowledge. In the Wikipedia article they talked about the history of Detroit and the historic buildings that are located in the city. A lot of the historic buildings they showed were in fact very familiar to me because I had seen them in person. For instance, they showed the Old Main building that is located right here on campus at Wayne State University. Also they showed the Renaissance Center, the Fox Theatre and The Detroit Institute of Arts. All of those significant buildings hold important history. Wikipedia also brought up the many things Detroit is known for like the automotive industry, its metropolitan area and more. It mentioned its nicknames "Motor City", "Motown", "The 313". Those are all indeed nicknames of my city. The article went on to discuss the population of the city. According to my knowledge, Detroit is a very populous city. Wikipedia definitely stressed that fact. They discussed how the population has changed over time and what it is like now in particular areas in Detroit, as well as Detroit as a whole. They talked about where Detroit’s population ranks among the rest of the State as well as the rest of the nation. All numbers sounded correct to me. Wikipedia also mentioned the many schools Detroit has. They highlighted that Detroit has the largest public school system in Michigan and is home to many colleges. They listed the colleges that reside here in Detroit, I was familiar with all of them, especially my own: Wayne state University. There is so much to know and learn about the city of Detroit; I wouldn’t have enough time to tell you in this 250-word blog. So far the few important things I looked over in Wikipedia all were true as far as I am concerned. I don’t think it’s a bad source to use for research. I actually like Wikipedia.

There is a flavored water called Sobe life water, which stemmed from Sobe energy drink that is becoming more and more popular everyday. They just recently started advertising it. They have a new commerial airing on television right now which is very entertaining. They have the logo of the sobo, which is a lizard representing the water in a lively way. As a matter of fact there is a whole gang of lizards taking over the scene along with super model Naiome Cambell. In this commercial they immatate a world renowned music video by Micheal Jackson, called "Thriller." To many people, this is very funny due to the fact that the famous coreography that was used in the video is being performed so well by little animated lizards. There aimed audience is probably no one in particular because all kinds of people of different cultures can enjoy the commercial. I believe the purpose of that advertisment is to persuade their audience that their water promotes life. Thus, the name of the water. In the Thriller video, many dead zombies came to life and danced around all night as if they were full of life. I guess Sobe is trying to relay that their drink may have such capability to that. I enjoyed watching this intriguing commerial. It really does often catch peoples eyes. I think that this ad will be a very successful one as far as getting results. I work at CVS as a cashier so I have been able to see how many people have been buying Sobe water from our store. I noticed that lately their sales have been going up rapidly. I was even curious myself to taste it, and when I did, I enjoyed it. Im glad I saw the advertisment.I cant wait to see thier next commercial!

Sample Introduction
There are a vast multitude of areas where people can go just to enjoy the atmosphere. On the other hand, there are many places people have to go to but really dont want to due to the vibe of the enviornment. Every public space has their own unique qualities whether positive or negative. After sitting in my church for over an hour, I came to the conclusion that it is a very intriguing public space to be in. For the most part, my church is a pretty enjoyable environment that can have an impact on people in various ways.

Blog 3-Past experiences with writing
My past writing experiences have actually been very rewarding. Its is because of my excellent writing skills that I am where I am today. I am a freshman at a 4-year university as journalism major. I am taking English 1020, which I didn’t have to take the class before it, because I placed into this one on the test. My writing skills and abilities that I acquired kindergarten through 12th grade are what helped me earn the scholarship money I am using to pay for my college education. I applied for a vast multitude of national scholarships, in which most of them required an essay. I won 4 of them and I know that they weren’t all won because of strictly scholastic ability. My g.p.a wasn’t the highest, nor was my ACT score. They were good but not great. It was my ability to move my readers of my essay to believe I truly deserved those scholarships. I used the conventions of writing to persuade them to chose me over thousands of other students just as qualified and even more qualified than me. I am so glad I was able to do that. I have always loved to write since a very young age. The reason being is because I love to express myself and writing is an excellent tool for communication. I am very grateful that I can convey my thoughts and feelings through writing, so it will always be a rewarding experience for me. That’s why I plan to build a career around it.

As a student in English 1020, I expect to gain a vast multitude of knowledge on the subject of English. I believe this course will allow me to acquire the wide array of skills needed to write excellent compositions. This class will equip me with the foundation I need to excel to the next levels of English classes I will take down the line. I hope that as I embark upon this journey, it is made enjoyable for me. For many students English can be a very boring and stressful class. I don’t want to look at it like that. I am hoping that I will get to write about topics that are actually interesting to me because when that is the case: I love to write.
On the other hand, if topics are very disinteresting to me, that tends to discourage me as a writer and it makes it harder for me to write a good paper. That’s probably a flaw as a writer that I need to work on. I should be able to write a good composition about anything. Same thing applies for reading; if the text we have to read is dull and dry, my mind or eyes will drift right away. I’ve been reading SF Writer and so far it’s not bad at all. It seems like a very useful book I will hold on to for guidance all through college. They give very useful information in such a neat and organized way. Yet it’s not quite a book I thought a teacher would just have us read chapters straight through. I haven’t read “The World is a Text” yet but I pray to god it’s not boring or I don’t know what I’m going to do! I just hope this English class works out great for me and I am able to meet all the teachers’ requirements so that I do well in this course. I’m striving for my favorite grade-an A! That sums up what I expect from this class.
